A MOVEMENT FOR YOUTH
Film, Fashion & Music drives culture throughout the world today. The programs at Bowman6 Inc. are designed to cultivate, nurture, and expand the resources of our youth connecting them with mentors, events, and community organizations that will provide hands-on experience and opportunities to empower and encourage our children to become better citizens, create stronger communities, and prepare for our global society. The B6 curriculum prepares local youth to write, develop and produce while starring in their own productions. Additionally, they are exposed to employment opportunities in the Arts through job preparation workshops. We would like to select 15-20 young minds to join us by taking this journey into “what goes on behind the scenes” in the world of film, fashion & music. We are partnering with several organizations such as, Columbia University and Harlem School of the Arts. B6 will meet one Saturday each month. Join us on this journey into our youth’s future!
Music is at the heart of the Bowman 6 experience! Our children are surrounded by music and many want to learn how to create it. Although it takes lots of practice to learn an instrument, technology has evolved to help artist produce great sounding music without practicing for years or breaking the bank. Our professional musicians will guide our young people through the steps of what it takes to produce a song.
MUSIC
Fashion is an ever evolving force creating new trends by (from) mixing from the old. Our youth are looking through a new lens, forging new paths, and creating new styles. Our consultants will guide students through what it takes to be a designer in today’s market place.
FASHION
Film is the platform that raises awareness through story telling creating change around social issues that impact our communities. Our students will have the opportunity to tell their story while collaborating with their peers in learning the fundamentals of film making.
